If matcha is already selling well at your café or hotel, the next question is usually “what else can we add?” You want something new that still fits the same menu and the same customer. Hallnara’s wholesale range goes beyond matcha and hojicha, and it includes yuzu puree and natural wellness powders. This guide explains what each one is, how to use it in drinks and desserts, and how to order in bulk in the UAE.
Why UAE cafés add yuzu puree and wellness powders to their matcha menu
A matcha menu with one latte on it gets old quickly. Customers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi like to try new flavours, and they love a drink that looks good on Instagram. Yuzu, sakura and blueberry give you three new flavours without changing how your team works. Each one uses the same matcha base your baristas already make.
Buying from one supplier also keeps things simple. You can order your ceremonial matcha, yuzu puree and wellness powders in one order, with one delivery and one contact person.
Yuzu puree wholesale in the UAE: what it is and how cafés use it
Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit. It tastes like a mix of lemon, grapefruit and mandarin, with a floral smell that regular lemon doesn’t have. Fresh yuzu is almost impossible to find in the UAE, so puree is the easy way to use it. Hallnara Yuzu Puree is made from Japanese yuzu juice and peel, with no added sugar or preservatives.
On the wholesale list, yuzu puree comes in a 420g bottle, with 18 bottles in a carton.
Here is a drink your team can make right away. It uses the same matcha base as the rest of your menu.
Yuzu honey lemon sparkling matcha
-
25ml Hallnara Yuzu Puree
-
5–10g honey (only if you want it sweeter)
-
5ml fresh lemon juice
-
100ml sparkling water
-
Pour your whisked matcha base on top
Yuzu also works in mocktails, cheesecake and tart fillings, and salad dressings. If your team is new to it, send them our guide, Yuzu Puree 101.
Sakura powder Wholesale: A Sakura Matcha Latte recipe for your menu
Sakura is Japanese cherry blossom. It tastes lightly floral and gently sweet, and it gives drinks a soft pink colour. You can see the product on the Sakura Powder page.
Sakura matcha latte
-
10g Hallnara Sakura Powder
-
10–15g honey
-
10ml warm water
-
140ml milk
-
Your whisked matcha base
Mix the sakura powder, honey and warm water with an electric frother until it is completely smooth, with no lumps. Add the milk, then pour the matcha base on top.
For the matcha, use Kagoshima if you want a smooth, gentle drink where the sakura leads. Use Okayama if you want a bolder matcha under the flowers. See Kagoshima Ceremonial Matcha and Okayama Ceremonial Matcha.
Blueberry Powder Wholesale in the UAE: A Blueberry Matcha Latte recipe for cafés
Blueberry Powder gives you a deep purple colour and a tart berry flavour. This drink takes one extra step, a quick blueberry jam, but the jam can be made ahead.
Blueberry jam
-
15–20g fresh blueberries, pressed well
-
30ml water
-
10–15g Hallnara Blueberry Powder
-
10–20g honey
-
2g gelatin
Put everything in a small pot and bring it to 100°C. Cook for 2–3 minutes, then let it cool fully.
Blueberry matcha latte
-
30–50g cooled blueberry jam in the glass
-
150g milk (add 10–15g honey if you want it sweeter)
-
Pour your whisked matcha base on top
Okayama is the better pick here, because its bold flavour stands up to the sweet jam. Kagoshima gives a softer, mellower drink.
